I always love it when people say what I do for a living is exciting. Most of the time I spend organzing and cutting and pasting (formatting) in graphics programs.I'm at a press check today, which is just about as exciting as a wait in the ER (minus the drama in the waiting room, with the drunkards, massive trauma and such). I got up at 5 am to drive 3 hours to sit, walk down to a loud smelly press room and say "yep that looks good" go out for lunch and shake a couple hands, come back and sit some more. Photo shoots are a little more fun, but still, lets put this piece of crap in front of some lights and reposition it a million times so it looks less like crap.

At least I got pie. It was pecan, and delicious!

So, Kris has been gone since Thursday at a festival and I've managed to keep myself entertained up until about...now. I've enjoyed my "me time" for the past couple of days, I've gardened, gone biking, read books, cleaned, watched chick flicks (which is technically, movies that got good reviews since Kris is anti-oscar). But now...meh...

I wonder how the dog would look in a dress, darn where's my seam rippers...

I know, I'm a nerd, but saving the earth is cool right? I felt to guilty throwing away my #5 yogurt containers 3-4 times a week so I convinced our HR dept at work to agree to start shipping #5 plastic containers that normally aren't accepted in recycling (yogurt cups, butter tubs etc) to this company that recycles them into household products like toothbrushes and razors.
